JPC Brand

Image of stationery with Jamie Poh Creative branding on it. There is a note pad, post it and business card.

I had the opportunity to work with Amy on my rebrand. We chatted about my journey in photography and ideas for what logos and fonts best represent me and my work moving forward.

Something that came to mind was 2 worlds coming together to create something new. Having worked in a corporate environment in the past, I come from a world of "metrics", "numbers", "KPI's", "spreadsheets" and a very organized environment. On the flip side, my passions are in creativity, and thinking outside of the box while photography is not necessarily "messy", as many art forms can be, it's often a process where some trial and error may occur. It's not perfect but the magic is in the process itself to create something awesome.

On a personal level, I am of Chinese heritage from Singapore and also Canadian living in Canada. It has been a long journey in discovering my own identity living here in BC while also travelling back to visit. Sometimes I feel like a stranger in both places. But I am grateful to have 2 perspectives of the world now.

The Logo that Amy designed for me represents these 2 worlds coming together.

It’s been a long 2-3 years since the earth shook from under us and made us make change (a good thing!) and I’m excited to have branded stationery again.
