Planning your Brand Photography Session

Why book a Brand Photography Session?

  • You’ve started a new business and need images to get your website and social media profiles going

  • You’re a few years into the business and you’ve evolved as a brand and as such need new photographs to reflect the change

  • You need more content to keep ahead of your marketing game

  • You’re looking for more variety and to have a bank of images to pull from

When it comes to planning your brand photography session, it’s a process of getting to know you, your team, and your brand.

The 4 P’s

I like to break this into simpler chunks that I’m now calling The 4 P’s of Brand Photography.

  1. People

  2. Product

  3. Practice

  4. Place

People

Did you know that posts do 40% better when there is a face in the photo? People make up your business and team. Having a set of portraits that are cohesive across the board and on brand makes up the first part of your session. Have a team? A group photo is a great way to communicate community and attract like-minded individuals and talent to work with you.

Product

This could be a physical product or the service you provide for your clients. What does that look like? How do we want to showcase each item? Or if you offer a service, what do those client interactions look like for you?

Practice

Taking this one step further, perhaps considering capturing some behind-the-scenes makes sense for your social media marketing. Everyone loves a good BTS shot and a little insight into your world.

Place

Whether a storefront, office, or perhaps an environment, capturing images in the place of your work shows your client what they could expect when they work with you.

Everyone and business is different so discussing your wishes and needs for your photography is ideal. From there, we have a creative meeting or call to elaborate on the visual directions and logistics.
