Moving Coffee Brand Session
Coffee
Coffee used to be something that I consumed just to "wake up". Over the years, my appreciation for good coffee has come from friends and clients who share a greater passion for the drink. I've also come to appreciate the slower process of making coffee as a challenge to myself to transition from rushing from task to task, place to place, to slowing life down a touch and being in the moment just a bit longer.
All this being said, when I had the opportunity to work with the talented Edmond and his partner Shirley of @movingcoffee, I was stoked. We've worked together on a few sessions over the year and each time, I learn something new about the coffee roasting, brewing, and testing process. They are truly experts with a passion for specialty coffee.
The Session(s)
We spent the year documenting a 3 part series along with a mini video session to cover images that tell the Moving Coffee story. When Edmond and I sat down to discuss what made sense to be captured, these came to mind:
The Roasting Process
The Brewing Process
The Team
On Location
We decided what made the most sense was to photograph who Moving Coffee is in 3 sessions to best cover a wide range of imagery.
What to expect when booking a brand session with JPC
I like to think of our working relationship as a collaboration. You communicate your wants and needs, hopes and dreams. I help turn that into visuals and imagery.
Before we get too far into the nitty gritty of your service and product, at a higher level, I like to break down sessions into sections:
People
Place
Product
Practice
This helps us understand what imagery needs to be created.
With Social Media Marketing moving at the pace it’s going, there’s a constant need for new content and ways to communicate what you sell, whether product, service or both. Having video as part of your package really elevates the brand and allows you to communicate with your market in different ways.
Extras
We had done natural light portraits in the Moving Coffee space to capture the ambience and feel of the location as well as a few studio portraits in the roasting area to offer a variety of looks and feels for the brand.
