Life is fleeting. One minute they’re learning to walk, the next they’re rushing out the door to hang out with their friends. Candid family sessions capture the milestones, the little (and big) personalities and help preserve your family’s memories and legacy so these stories can be passed on to your kids and grandkids for years to come.
What to expect.

Portraits
A portrait documents you as a family in this moment in time. We start your session with a short portrait session where we capture all of you together and looking at the camera. We’ll capture different family groupings as well.

Candids
I encourage you to consider an activity that all of you do together as a family. This might be as simple as a family dinner or backyard BBQ. It could also be a short hike or walk at your favourite park or beach, blueberry picking or you hanging out at your favourite camping spot.
Candid photos capture small details, interactions and the personality of your family. These images make great accompanying images to your portraits for your gallery or album.

Memories
So you’ve got your gallery of photos, now what? Don’t let these memories fade away on your phone or computer. I love printing my favourite photos from a session for my gallery frame wall in my home and having the collection of images printed in a coffee table book so I can look back on these memories for years to come.
As friends & family, you receive exclusive access to my professional print lab to create tangible copies of your photographs.

What to wear
Wear colours that you like and compliment each other. Avoid wearing the exact same colours and outfits. Start with neutral and pastel tones then slowly add on pops of colour.

Just yourselves! Avoid carrying too much with you to make our walk much more comfortable for you.

FAQs
Where do you do your sessions?
I encourage you to choose a location that makes sense for you and your family. Some families capture their portraits in their home or backyard. Some choose to go to their favourite park, beach or outdoor location.
Do you offer posing guidance?
My style of photography is more on the candid side however with that being said, I offer some simple guidance when it comes to your portraits. I will make sure people are in the right spots and angles.
Can I bring my pets?
Pets are absolutely welcome and included in all sessions. Be sure to bring their favourite treats in case we need to use a little bribing for portraits. :)
How do we book?
Dates book out 2-4 weeks in advance. Connect with Jamie to confirm a date that works for everyone. If something comes up, please let Jamie know as soon as possible so we can arrange an alternate date.
What happens if it’s going to rain?
If the forecast calls for clouds, we will likely still try to photograph your family. For adventure sessions, if you’re down to photograph in light rain, I am game! If it does pour on us, we will reschedule to the next available date.
When will we be able to see our photos?
My turn around time is around 3-4 weeks. I know you are excited to see your photos so I will do my best to get them as soon as I can!
How do we receive our photos?
You will receive a gallery link once your photos are ready which are accessible for up to 30 days. The link can be shared with all your family members. Download, share & print directly from your gallery.
